loveletters

we've been doing a whole lot of recording the past few months...woot! everything is coming together really well. when tim, kaycee and myself first got to hear 'if i say im sorry' we were in california at my grandparents house. we all crowded around the laptop and were hysterical.
then a few weeks later we heard 'loveletters'. this is the one that really caught viewers ears. i think that people saw the most improvement of our band when they heard that song. its a whole new level for us and our style of music. we got so many new comments from fans telling us how much they loved it. i know that we made a lot new fans just from that song alone. its only been 2 or 3 days and we already have over 700 plays on that song alone! thats awesome!

go check out our new song, you'll love it.

If I Say I'm Sorry

On September 25th we finished and posted "If I Say I'm Sorry" if anyone hasn't heard it yet... you must... it's a must. It turned out better than we could have imagined. We are so excited to finish the rest of the album. We are just doing the last little bits for "Stop Sign" and then the brand new one "Love Letters." It is going to be great. Go take a listen!

Vocal Tracking

Last night we started tracking vocals on "If I Say I'm Sorry." It sounds so good so far, and we still have so much more to do! It is going to be a new and improved version... in fact all of our songs will be. I really think everyone is going to thoroughly enjoy it... at least I hope. We still have much much more to go, but we are enjoying every minute of it.

The Geneva House

Last night we played a show at The Geneva House. It was really cool! But unfortunately it got shut down in the middle of our set. It was still a lot of fun to actually play a show though. It has been along time! It was funny though because the cops liked our music and asked for a CD... so I gave them one. They thought we were cool. Anyway... Monday we are playing on Park City TV, channel 102 between 6-7 pm. It is going to be really cool. Anyway I'm tired and rambling.... goodnight y'all.

P.S. The Geneva House is small but it really is a good place to play. The guys and gals that live there are great people, especially Michael. So be sure to check out their future shows.

So EXCITED!

Dang! We have been putting in a lot of practice time in for the upcoming shows this next week. It is going to be so much fun, it has been so long since we have played a show. Everything is coming together just perfectly... we even have Tim G. playing guitar on Stop Sign, that's kinda fun... huh? Anyway we're way excited, and hope everyone else is too!

recording on this beautiful day

im at kaycee and tim's house right now, i brought cole with me to keep me occupied through this whole process of recording. everything takes a lot of time but its all well worth it in the end. i cant express enough how excited i am to cruise in my car to our new full band recordings! if anyone knows any awesome photographers to take our new art for the album, that would be great :)
im getting anxious to record my vocals but unfortunately that comes last. it was talked about earlier on today the idea of using auto tune, but ive always told myself that i would never eva wanna use auto tune. i want my real voice to be recorded on recordings. so readers...its me, not ... some digital voice.

we'll keep you posted,

oh yes, im going home right now to get my camera so that we can post pictures!

Recording!

Hey!
We started recording acoustic guitar and lead guitar last night! It sounded great! Although we weren't able to use anything we did, it was still a lot of fun. Will finish guitar parts on three songs tonight for sure!

Looks like we are going to be performing as a full band on Park City TV. Again that is Channel 102 on Comcast On Demand or you can watch it on Parkcity.tv, that will be on September 15 from 6-7 pm.

Looking for new members is hard!

Looking for new members is so hard! So many great musicians and personalities to chose from. It's hard to find people who are as passionate as you about the music you are playing. Especially with Jess and I because we write all of the music. It is definitely hard to find people who are passionate about music they don't write themselves. But so far we are doing well and it looks like we are going to have success in our search... but we still have many more auditions to come.

Since For: Fairweather has become a full band we have spent so much time practicing with different musicians. Jess and I are so so so ready to start putting together all of the new songs we have been working on on our own time, we just haven't had the time to bring up something new with all of the different players we've gone through. It is definitely time to find something more permanent so we can focus more towards the writing side.

Have a good night.
See you all soon.
